Psychotherapy

Counselling is provided by a registered psychotherapist (RP) or psychotherapist with qualifying status (RP-Qualifying). In addition, Mindful Path Counselling supports Psychotherapy Interns who are working towards a master's degree, these individuals are fully supported by a Master of Social Work (MSW) and who is a Registered Social Worker (RSW) as the Clinical Supervisor.

We have contracted Leanne Wagner Psychological Services to be able to offer psychology billing.

The award-winning social worker Narine is certified in cognitive behavior therapy (CBT) and has over ten years of experience working with a varied population facing a variety of difficulties. Life transitions, relationships, anger, trauma, anxiety, despair, and loss are among the issues addressed. Narine works with individuals, adults and children, families, and couples who need help through life’s problems. Narine will make it a point as a therapist to establish a loving, comfortable, and non-judgmental environment in which his clients can communicate and get a deeper understanding of their behaviors, thoughts, and feelings. Narine is a registered social worker and psychotherapist who is now completing his Doctor of Social Work degree. Narine employs cognitive behavior therapy (CBT) and motivational interviewing (MI) in his practice for a fruitful outcome.

You are the expert in you, I’m here to help you in exploring yourself deeper. Clients from ages 10 to 100 will find space with me that is collaborative, individualized, nonjudgmental, and genuine. I work with individuals who may be struggling with mental health issues, relationships, or exploring who they are, ouples/relationships in need of repair or who want to ensure they are continuing along in a healthy way as they plan their future together, and families who may be struggling to reconnect, understand each other, or who want to ensure longevity in their system.

Life is challenging for even the most stable among us, and we all need someone who will be there for us in an authentic way. I meet people where they are and pull from different therapeutic modalities like CBT, DBT, trauma-informed, and more because everyone shows up in their own unique way. I have 20 years of experience in mental health, working with a wide variety of clients, each with their own individual needs and goals. My experiences as a mom, a partner, and having lived through challenging times, show up as compassion and empathy for the journey you are on.

It can also include processing difficult experiences, learning skills to cope with daily living, or simply having someone to talk to. Sometimes knowing where to start can feel confusing, lonely, or complicated. I want you to know you’re not alone in this feeling! Learning how to process your emotions and experiences doesn’t have to be considered hard, or overly complicated when you are provided with an understanding and open-minded environment. I believe in creating a space where your experiences are validated and supported with an action plan that will help you feel your best.

My 10 years of experience working with people provides me with a knowledgeable, open-minded, and empathetic perspective. I am rooted in a strengths-based and goal-oriented approach that incorporates Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Narrative, and Acceptance Therapy.
