As you may have read I am trained in a number of therapeutic modalities/approaches and I don’t tie myself to any one approach. Instead, I come from an integrative or holistic approach and I blend elements from different therapeutic tools and approaches and tailor to the individuals needs.

Are you feeling stuck or overwhelmed? Ready to find your path to a more balanced and fulfilling life? I am here to support your journey home to Self in a safe and integrated way that allows you to feel heard. Helping you find ways to regulate your nervous system and create meaning in your life is an underlying value in my work.
As I complete my Masters of Social Work at Wilfrid Laurier University, building on my Bachelor’s degree in Honours Psychology, I integrate various therapeutic approaches such as Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy Principles (MBCT) through a somatic lens - always focusing on connection to the body. I am also influenced by Internal Family Systems, parts work, and inner child healing.
I address present life challenges through these and other techniques while honouring past experiences. Whether you’re an individual, couple, or family seeking guidance, we’ll work together to uncover your inner strengths, set meaningful goals, and build the confidence you need to thrive. Most importantly, we will work to build empowerment to trust the process and restore balance in your life in an embodied way.

While life’s challenges may bring pain and distress, I wholeheartedly believe in one’s ability to persevere. By embracing a trauma-informed approach centred on trust, empowerment, and collaboration, let’s embark on a journey toward healing and transformation together.
I am trained in Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT) and continue to employ an elective model of client-centred therapeutic modalities and techniques, providing an opportunity for curious and compassionate healing. I also support couples with the Gottman Method, providing an accountable space to nurture learning, understand perspective, and improve communication.
Holding a Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology (MACP) and a Bachelor of Science in Forensic Science (BScFS) contributes to my attention to detail to help clients understand aspects of themselves through an attachment lens. I have frontline experience working with survivors of domestic violence, along with children who have experienced or witnessed violence in the home. These experiences have provided invaluable teachings, allowing me to see beyond behaviours, empower individuals to focus on the impact of their lived experiences, and provide trust in the healing journey.
I am guided by the therapeutic relationship developed with empathy, trust, and understanding, and I recognize the need for the right connection for recovery. If I am not the right fit, please check out other bios on the team page at Mindful Path Counselling for another therapist who may meet your needs.
My experience, education, and commitment to trauma-informed care support my work with individuals. My dedication to helping clients feel safe and secure in the therapeutic environment is an essential value in my job to help individuals create meaning and purpose for a more fulfilling life. Let me walk alongside you in your healing journey to start to work together to build a life worth living.

Individuals seek counselling for a variety of reasons looking to gain support through life challenges. Individuals are interested in exploring their past, present, and future to resolve their past experiences or circumstances that have led to their current state.
Healing through counselling can be a difficult and emotional process and your counsellor will work with you to overcome the challenges or impediments you are facing. The goal of counselling is to enhance the well-being of individuals and families in a space where you are seen and heard and to assist you in removing obstacles that prevent you from experiencing the balance and joy that you seek for yourself. Counselling will assist you in healing from the symptoms and emotional distress caused by challenging life experiences.
Throughout my career in child welfare and long-term care, I have developed a deep understanding of the unique challenges individuals and families experience in their lives. I have an extensive amount of experience, and knowledge in dealing with anxiety, depression, self-esteem, religious trauma, and toxic workplace stress. I assist individuals and families to adjust to life transitions such as illness, grief loss; separation, and divorce.
I draw from models of treatment that are systemic, strength-based, solution-focused, and with a trauma-informed lens in assisting the client to develop skills, healthier coping strategies, and resources to enhance their healing. My therapeutic approach emphasizes person-centred therapy reflecting empathy, acceptance, and genuineness.
I offer ongoing treatment as a compassionate, caring, collaborative, and non-judgemental process developed by the client, family, and therapist to set goals to meaningfully engage in their life. I am a registered social worker (OCSWSSW) and a member of the Ontario Association of Social Workers. I hold a Master’s Degree in Social Work as well as a Bachelor’s in Social Work and a Bachelor of Sociology. I also hold a Long Term Care Administration certificate; certification in Art Therapy and am completing a certificate in religious Trauma.
Together we will usher in a journey of healing and growth to better understand ourselves, our relationships and environments around us.
