Feeling overwhelmed or disconnected? While talk therapy can be helpful, it sometimes only gets us so far. Our bodies are an integral part of who we are, and thus, they also need to be a part of the healing process. Helping individuals find ways to regulate their nervous systems is an underlying value in my work (nervous system reset + healing)! I also specialize in helping children process difficult emotions and rebuild confidence through play, creativity, somatic practices, and, most importantly, the child’s interests.
Drawing on a Master of Social Work and Somatic Trauma Therapy Certificate, I integrate various therapeutic approaches that emphasize the mind-body connection, parts work, & inner child healing. Together, we learn how to regulate our bodies during distress.
Whether you’re an adult seeking connection or a parent wanting support for your child, we’ll focus on honouring our past, uncovering strengths, and setting meaningful goals. Most importantly, we build skills that help regulate our nervous systems and increase trust in our inner guides.
If you’re ready to start, I offer a complimentary 15-minute consultation to determine if we’d be a good fit.
Areas of Focus: Anxiety, Depression, Stress, Self-Esteem, Perfectionism, Trauma, Religious Trauma/Deconstruction
Therapy modalities: Internal Family Systems Informed (IFS), Somatic, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT)

Life’s challenges come in many forms, and reaching out for help can be a powerful step forward. Whether you’re dealing with anxiety, depression, substance use, Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), relationship challenges, or navigating life’s transitions, together, we can find the best path forward. I specialize in guiding teenagers, adults, couples, and seniors through stress, relationship issues, and personal challenges. Growing up in rural southwestern Ontario, I’ve seen firsthand how many people suffer in silence. That’s why I am dedicated to creating a space where you feel safe, supported, and free from judgment. Counseling is a powerful tool for healing, and you don’t have to face it alone. My approach is collaborative, blending Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT), and Narrative Therapy (NT). You’ll have a say in the direction we take, and we’ll work together at a pace that feels right for you. We’ll look at clinically effective solutions to your challenges, explore the strengths within your narrative, and work together to create meaningful change in your life. Life can be tough, but with some empathy, determination, and a bit of humour, we can face it together. If you’re ready to move forward, I’m here to support you. Let’s book a 15-minute consult to see if you think we’re a good fit.

While life’s challenges may bring pain and distress, I wholeheartedly believe in one’s ability to persevere. By embracing a trauma-informed approach centred on trust, empowerment, and collaboration, let’s embark on a journey toward healing and transformation together.
I am trained in Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT) and continue to employ an elective model of client-centred therapeutic modalities and techniques, providing an opportunity for curious and compassionate healing. I also support couples with the Gottman Method, providing an accountable space to nurture learning, understand perspective, and improve communication.
Holding a Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology (MACP) and a Bachelor of Science in Forensic Science (BScFS) contributes to my attention to detail to help clients understand aspects of themselves through an attachment lens. I have frontline experience working with survivors of domestic violence, along with children who have experienced or witnessed violence in the home. These experiences have provided invaluable teachings, allowing me to see beyond behaviours, empower individuals to focus on the impact of their lived experiences, and provide trust in the healing journey.
I am guided by the therapeutic relationship developed with empathy, trust, and understanding, and I recognize the need for the right connection for recovery. If I am not the right fit, please check out other bios on the team page at Mindful Path Counselling for another therapist who may meet your needs.
My experience, education, and commitment to trauma-informed care support my work with individuals. My dedication to helping clients feel safe and secure in the therapeutic environment is an essential value in my job to help individuals create meaning and purpose for a more fulfilling life. Let me walk alongside you in your healing journey to start to work together to build a life worth living.

If you are a first responder struggling with the weight of daily stress, feelings of being overwhelmed, or the burden of traumatic experiences, I am here to provide the guidance and support you need to regain balance and strength.
My practice is trauma-informed and deeply attuned to the unique challenges faced by first responders. Grounded in eco-social work, I recognize the interconnectedness of individuals, their communities, and environments, and how these connections shape mental health. This perspective allows me to take a holistic approach to therapy, considering the broader context of your experiences while addressing the deep impact of trauma.
I understand the importance of creating a space where you feel safe, understood, and free from judgment. My practice is built on fostering trust, authenticity, and respect, ensuring you feel supported as we navigate the complexities of trauma and resilience together.
I tailor my approach to meet your unique needs, drawing from evidence-based modalities such as Strength-Based Focussed Therapy (SBFT) to highlight your inner resources, Motivational Interviewing to support meaningful change, and Person-Centred Therapy to prioritize your individual perspective. I also use Narrative Therapy to help you reshape the story of your experiences, fostering empowerment and healing. Additionally, I integrate approaches like Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT) to work through symptoms of PTSD.
In addition to my work with individuals, I also work with couples using Emotionally Focused Couples Therapy (EFT). Relationships can be profoundly impacted by the stress, trauma, and emotional demands of high-intensity work, and I am here to help couples navigate these challenges together. EFT focuses on strengthening emotional bonds and fostering deeper connections. By exploring underlying emotions and patterns of interaction, we work toward healing relational wounds, rebuilding trust, and enhancing communication.
Whether you are seeking tools to manage the emotional toll of your work, process traumatic events, or find a way forward through stress and uncertainty, I am here to walk alongside you. Together, we will create a path toward healing, growth, and reclaiming the sense of purpose and connection that is so vital to your well-being.

Individuals seek counselling for a variety of reasons looking to gain support through life challenges. Individuals are interested in exploring their past, present, and future to resolve their past experiences or circumstances that have led to their current state.
Healing through counselling can be a difficult and emotional process and your counsellor will work with you to overcome the challenges or impediments you are facing. The goal of counselling is to enhance the well-being of individuals and families in a space where you are seen and heard and to assist you in removing obstacles that prevent you from experiencing the balance and joy that you seek for yourself. Counselling will assist you in healing from the symptoms and emotional distress caused by challenging life experiences.
Throughout my career in child welfare and long-term care, I have developed a deep understanding of the unique challenges individuals and families experience in their lives. I have an extensive amount of experience, and knowledge in dealing with anxiety, depression, self-esteem, religious trauma, and toxic workplace stress. I assist individuals and families to adjust to life transitions such as illness, grief loss; separation, and divorce.
I draw from models of treatment that are systemic, strength-based, solution-focused, and with a trauma-informed lens in assisting the client to develop skills, healthier coping strategies, and resources to enhance their healing. My therapeutic approach emphasizes person-centred therapy reflecting empathy, acceptance, and genuineness.
I offer ongoing treatment as a compassionate, caring, collaborative, and non-judgemental process developed by the client, family, and therapist to set goals to meaningfully engage in their life. I am a registered social worker (OCSWSSW) and a member of the Ontario Association of Social Workers. I hold a Master’s Degree in Social Work as well as a Bachelor’s in Social Work and a Bachelor of Sociology. I also hold a Long Term Care Administration certificate; certification in Art Therapy and am completing a certificate in religious Trauma.
Together we will usher in a journey of healing and growth to better understand ourselves, our relationships and environments around us.

Honest conversations. Practical strategies. Real change.
Therapy with me is real, grounded, and focused on creating meaningful change. I’m direct, compassionate, and not afraid to talk about the hard stuff. My years working in the criminal justice and mental health systems taught me the importance of honesty, safety, and connection—people need a place where they can speak freely, feel understood, and start building real momentum toward change.
I work with kids, teens, and couples who feel stuck—whether that means big emotions at home, constant tension, or communication that just isn’t working anymore. With children and teens (ages 4–17), I use directive, goal-focused play therapy that blends creativity and structure—play, art, and music combined with CBT, DBT, and narrative approaches to build emotional regulation, coping skills, and confidence.
With couples, I integrate the Gottman Method and Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) to help partners rebuild trust, communicate more effectively, and reconnect emotionally. My approach is supportive but straightforward—focused on understanding what’s not working and exploring new ways forward.
I hold a Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology (MACP) and am a Registered Social Worker (BSW) with an Addictions Counselling Certificate. I’m trauma-informed, an LGBTQIA+ ally, and bring years of experience supporting youth and adults through trauma, crisis, and relationship challenges.
