I’m here for you. I want to listen.

Whether you’re carrying past mistakes, feeling uncertain about the future, or worried about what others might think, I want to work alongside you. Together, we can process the pain and weight of shame, fear, or doubt. Believing in yourself in who you truly are can sometimes feel like the hardest thing to do. Our past, the judgments of others, or even our own expectations, can drown out that belief. These struggles can show up in many ways: depression, anxiety, anger, reliving traumatic events, relationship challenges, or a series of choices we wish we hadn’t made.

My goal is to help you reconnect with the parts of yourself that allow you to believe in who you are in a sustainable, effective, and healthy way. I think you matter, and I believe things can get better.

Therapy isn’t and shouldn’t be scary. My approach is to work with you through compassion, genuine empathy, and patience, while asking the more profound questions together. In our sessions, you’ll find support without judgment. Sometimes that space includes tears, laughter, or even silence, but always room for you to be yourself.

As a first-generation Canadian from a Caribbean immigrant family, I also understand the unique challenges of navigating multiple cultures. Discussing culture, family dynamics, and those nuanced experiences can be a crucial step in healing your inner child and opening up new possibilities for growth.

The approaches I draw on include Client-Centred Therapy, Emotion-Focused Therapy (EFT), Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), and Attachment-Based Informed Approaches. I often lean on Client-Centred Therapy to prioritize your experience and goals, meeting you where you are in life. EFT and attachment-based approaches usually work in tandem: EFT helps clients become more aware of their emotions and learn healthy ways to regulate and respond, while attachment-based approaches examine how our earliest relational experiences influence our coping, connection, and self-regulation. CBT, an evidence-based approach, helps us explore the connections between thoughts, behaviours, emotions, and situations. I integrate these approaches to fit your specific needs and pace. I hold a Bachelor of Arts in Honours Psychology and am currently completing my Master of Arts in Spiritual Care and Psychotherapy at Wilfrid Laurier University. I support individuals who may be navigating work and academic stress, depression, anxiety, relationship issues, grief, self-esteem, and trauma.

I believe in you. This is your sign to get started. If you think we may work well together, please feel free to book a 15-minute consultation.

“I hope that either all of us or none of us are judged by the actions of our weakest moments, but rather the strength we show when and if we’re ever given a second chance.” - Ted Lasso

As a former professional athlete, teacher, and therapist, I bring a unique perspective to my work. My athletic background allows me to deeply understand the pressures of performance, teamwork, and resilience, while my teaching experience has given me insight into the developmental and emotional needs of children and teens. I’ve had the privilege of working with individuals across a wide range of ages, from young children to college athletes, and I am passionate about helping them overcome obstacles and thrive. In my practice, I’ve seen challenges like low confidence, difficulty handling setbacks, behavioural struggles, and feelings of isolation. These can show up as withdrawal from activities, outbursts, or trouble balancing responsibilities and personal goals. For parents, it can be heartbreaking to watch a child or teen feel this way, especially when communication feels strained. The foundation of my work is trust. I aim to create a safe, nonjudgmental space where children, teens, and young adults feel heard and empowered to explore their feelings and develop healthy coping strategies. For athletes, I offer a unique perspective on the intersection of mental health and sports performance, helping them achieve both personal and team goals. I draw from evidence-based approaches such as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), mindfulness techniques, and play therapy for younger children. My background as a professional athlete, teacher, counsellor, and cultural consultant with university soccer teams enables me to support individuals with a wide range of needs, including performance anxiety, emotional regulation, trauma, and interpersonal relationships. I know how important it is to find the right therapist for your child or family. That’s why I begin by meeting with the parent(s) or guardian(s) to better understand the situation before starting one-on-one work with your child or teen. Sessions are confidential and designed to build trust and foster growth at a pace that feels comfortable for them. Therapy offers the tools and space to create lasting change, whether it’s developing social-emotional skills, navigating family dynamics, or overcoming challenges on the field or in the classroom. My goal is to help each individual thrive in their unique way.

Welcome — I’m really glad you’re here. If you’ve found your way here, you may be feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or simply exhausted from carrying so much on your own. Whether you’re a first responder, living with chronic pain or illness, navigating the impacts of childhood trauma, or struggling with relationships or sexuality, you deserve support that feels safe, respectful, and effective.

I bring over 20 years of experience as a therapist and social worker. I’m deeply committed to walking alongside people ready to explore their inner world and move toward healing. My approach is compassionate, collaborative, and always tailored to your unique experience.

One of the core methods I use is Internal Family Systems (IFS)—a gentle, non-judgmental approach that helps you get to know the different “parts” of yourself. Many of us carry wounded parts shaped by past experiences, along with protective parts that try to help us cope. In IFS therapy, we give those parts space to be heard and begin healing the burdens they carry. This process can be especially helpful if you often feel stuck in repeating patterns, overwhelmed by emotion, or disconnected from who you really are.

I also integrate trauma-informed care, Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), and Narrative Therapy to support emotional regulation, build coping tools, and process painful or traumatic memories at your own pace.

For individuals and couples seeking to reconnect with their sexuality and intimacy, I offer sex therapy. Together, we can explore issues like desire, sexual identity, communication challenges, body image, and the impacts of trauma, always at your pace, and always with care and respect.

I have a particular passion for working with first responders and front-line workers—people who are used to taking care of everyone else, often at the expense of their own well-being. I understand how cumulative stress, trauma, and burnout can silently take hold, and I provide a space where you don’t need to be “on.” You can just be human here.

I also support individuals living with chronic pain and illness, helping them navigate the emotional toll that often accompanies physical health challenges. Together, we can explore how to soften suffering, reconnect with your body, and make space for compassion and meaning, no matter where you are in your journey.

Life can feel overwhelming at any stage, leaving us uncertain and confused. You may be dealing with various emotions and thoughts that hold you back from taking your next step. If you’re dealing with stress or general anxiety, I’m here to help. Together, we can build resilience, improve emotional well-being, and create lasting positive change.

I work with children and adolescents (ages 4-17) and families to enhance emotional well-being and strengthen relationships. I use techniques like play therapy to help children process emotions, improve communication, and navigate challenges such as school stress and emotional regulation. In family sessions, I create a space where all members are supported in working through challenges, communicating effectively, and building positive connections within the family dynamic.

Modalities that inform my practice include Strength-Based, Solution Focused, Play Therapy, Attachment, and Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT). I recognize that each person is unique, with their strengths, needs, and experiences. I meet people where they are, practicing from a trauma-informed lens. I also offer activities such as games, colouring, and fidget toys to help clients of all ages feel more at ease during sessions.

My educational experience includes actively pursuing a Master of Social Work at Wilfrid Laurier University. Prior education consists of completing a Bachelor of Applied Science, majoring in Child, Youth, & Family, and certifications in Early Childhood Education (ECE) and ECE Resource Consulting.

Whether you’re seeking support for yourself, your child, or your family, we can work together to create a manageable and comfortable journey.

If you are a first responder struggling with the weight of daily stress, feelings of being overwhelmed, or the burden of traumatic experiences, I am here to provide the guidance and support you need to regain balance and strength.

My practice is trauma-informed and deeply attuned to the unique challenges faced by first responders. Grounded in eco-social work, I recognize the interconnectedness of individuals, their communities, and environments, and how these connections shape mental health. This perspective allows me to take a holistic approach to therapy, considering the broader context of your experiences while addressing the deep impact of trauma.

I understand the importance of creating a space where you feel safe, understood, and free from judgment. My practice is built on fostering trust, authenticity, and respect, ensuring you feel supported as we navigate the complexities of trauma and resilience together.

I tailor my approach to meet your unique needs, drawing from evidence-based modalities such as Strength-Based Focussed Therapy (SBFT) to highlight your inner resources, Motivational Interviewing to support meaningful change, and Person-Centred Therapy to prioritize your individual perspective. I also use Narrative Therapy to help you reshape the story of your experiences, fostering empowerment and healing. Additionally, I integrate approaches like Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT) to work through symptoms of PTSD.

In addition to my work with individuals, I also work with couples using Emotionally Focused Couples Therapy (EFT). Relationships can be profoundly impacted by the stress, trauma, and emotional demands of high-intensity work, and I am here to help couples navigate these challenges together. EFT focuses on strengthening emotional bonds and fostering deeper connections. By exploring underlying emotions and patterns of interaction, we work toward healing relational wounds, rebuilding trust, and enhancing communication.

Whether you are seeking tools to manage the emotional toll of your work, process traumatic events, or find a way forward through stress and uncertainty, I am here to walk alongside you. Together, we will create a path toward healing, growth, and reclaiming the sense of purpose and connection that is so vital to your well-being.
